Baird Red Rose Amber Ale
Not sure why they go on about this being related to some sort of Steam beer. There's nothing here that you won't find in any other well made American Amber Ale -- moderate coppery malt, clean and fairly easy drinking, and a noticeable but not balls-to-the-wall hop profile.
(I had this off the tap at the Popeye, and was even more impressive).
A nice kick-off beer, me'thinks.
