Bywater Bay ESB
If rumors are to be believed, Hood River has some significant infection issues. Whether this is true or not, I can't say. But I have no problems with this particular beer.
Rather nice, actually. A nice toasted biscuit-ish quality to the malt profile, almost warm & bready. You know, what Fat Tire used to have back in the day? Kinda like that.
And the hop profile is rather interesting, too. The brewer's official website says this clocks in at 43 IBUs, with mostly Cascade and Willamette if I had to guess. So not all that adventurous or avant-garde by any means. But sometimes that just okey-dokey to me.
For a mere $4.59/22ozer, worth a try I'd say.
