Carib Lager

The second of three harmless lagers that I had at the Jacksonville Beach European Street Cafe. This was my second beer of the evening, and all-in-all, perhaps the most surprising of the three.

How so? Only in that with it's Caribbean upbringing, and clear asking-to-be-skunked bottle, I wasn;t holding out much hope for this beer. But, it's no secret that I some rather morbid curosities sometimes, so I took the plunge with this beer from Trinidad (yes, of the Trinidad & Tobago two-some).

Glad I did, too. This was much more more-ish than I would have ever possibly have guessed. Another beer that is nicely clean, with a even-handed, easy-drinking profile. By design, this is not at all complex, but does have enough gumption to even perhaps suggest some real live malt was used in the making of this beer. Whatta concept, eh!?

But seriously, this looks like a gimmick beer, made only for pasty white folks stepping off the cruise ships for five or six hours, but this actually has some character to it.

Surprisingly worthy.
