This 8.7%ABV Polish big-ol'-lager isn't half bad. Won't set the world on fire, or set the heavens ablaze. But for a Polish Lager with a bigger-than-normal kick, it does the job well enough.

Only in that I'm still naive enough to think that an overlooked gem of a beer is just a Russian Deli purchase away. Does it ever pan out? Not so often...! "Wow! An authentic beer from Russia...!" Well, don't get too excited about this one, at least. This is almost the epitome of "average", in my book. While I can appreciate the maltiness here, the overly-sweet caramel feel of this more than kills any interest I may have for this beer. Thin and boring.  Read more....

If I were sitting on a park bench, watching the lazy waves roll in from the Black Sea, as a pleasant day of exploring the ancient neighborhoods of beautiful Sofia was coming to an end...., I can see drinking and enjoying this pilsener-style lager.
