I have a lot of fond memories of New Orleans -- and my heart was rent in two seeing the devastation dealt to Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. So when Abita not only survived Katrina, but was able to crank out this beer relatively soon after -- for charity, no less -- I knew that I wanted to get a hold of this, to support both the Abita brewery and the charities.  Read more....

A beer I haven't given much credence to in the past, to be honest. Perhaps it was the indistinct style-less name, or the even less rational correlation of "Turbodog" to the atrocious "Turbo" album from Judas Priest (Don't ask -- long story!).  Read more....
