Coors Light

Ok. You might as well admit it, and get it over with. We've all been there, so there's no need to deny it, is there?

I'm talking about Hair Of The Dog. Yes, that ever popular urban legend that predicates itself on the concept that "the best way to cure a hang-over is to drink more beer!". So, after a rather arduous pubcrawl with TheLongBeachBum, xlperro, and mzwolinski (among others) on Saturday, I was in a hurting-kind on Sunday. To make things worse, my fiance had already made me promise to hang-out with her rather boisterous family all day Sunday. To ease my pain, there was the choice of wine coolers and Coors Light. Sigh The Rest is history.

Liquid corn-beer poured into a McDonald's "Little Mermaid" glass -- does it really get any better than this? :) Metallic aroma, that did nothing to help ease my throbbing head. Ditto for the wet Corn Chex Ceral mouthfeel, or the flacid here-but-not-here flavor profile. I expected this to at least kill a thirst, and for that I was thankful. But otherwise, I may have not been feeling any additional pain -- but, at the same time, I really had to refute the entire Hair Of The Dog concept. Maybe if I drink a Real Beer, instead of carbonated corn tea, eh....?
