Foster's Special Bitter
Yippee. A big-ass can of macro-brewed schwill, from the makers of Foster's Lager. Can you tell that I'm oh-so-excited about drinking this? (Yes, I am being a bit sardonic here, in case you hadn't noticed).
Very pale, perhaps a little goldish in appearence. Aroma? Yeah, it's there. Not so sure that I can say too many positive things about the nose of this beer -- but, at the same time, it's not all that repulsive, either.
And then there is the flavor profile -- or, rather, the lack thereof. Is it more interesting than Foster's Lager (the so-called "Australian For Beer")? Yeah, that's true, I suppose.
But this is still basically an imported & canned version of Victoria "Bitter" for the North American market -- nothing more. Maybe not as cheap and as skunky as VB per se..., but in the final analysis, this is still little more than yet another standard cheap Lager from Oz -- no more.
