Helios Goya-Dry

If you look at Those Other Beer Rating sites, you'd think that this is golden ray of sunshine in the otherwise gloomy (and, let's face it: shitty) beer scene in Okinawa.

Me? I'm not buying it.

This did not suck, per se. But..., there's nothing here that you won't find from virtually any of the Green Bottle Brewers in Europe. Or, closer to home, there's nothing here that Sapporo/Asahi/Kirin/Suntory has been doing better, longer.

Seems that this beer tries too hard to align itself with the "elite" Euro-trash Green Bottle Boys -- but without having done any sort of research as to what makes a good Euro Pils, and what doesn't.

This one, well, just plain doesn't get the job done.
