Shiner Holiday Cheer

Well, here's my two cents to toss into the fray!

Short and sweet. And I mean that both ways. Huh? Yes, this review is short and sweet -- and so is this beer. And by "short" I really mean "thin". (Yes, that was all a bit of a stretch. But work with me here, will ya?)

Enough dorking around. This beer? It really is way too thin for my liking. Kinda watery. It's been ages since I've had the Shiner Bock -- is that one thin as hell too?

The much-discussed peach aspect? I actually like it in the nose -- not so much in the flavor. And in the finish? Sweeter and more cloying than I like.

I don't buy off on some aforementioned "vomit" comments myself -- but in no way does "doesn't really taste like vomit" count in any way as a ringing endorsement for this beer!

No, this didn't work for me, sorry...! From the get go, it was a toss-up between "down the hatch" vs "down the drain".

In the end, the drain won.

Not revolting. I've had worse. But so what, eh?
