Stella Lager Beer

Every year, the Foam on the Brain homebrew club I'm a member of has a holiday party. Best shin-dig of the year, IMO. And each year, a beer exchange happens. Folks bring a sixer (or equiv.) of beer, draw lots for the order of picking from the table full of beer, and everybody leaves with a sixer (or equiv.). Normally homebrew, sometimes obscure stuff, but always interesting stuff. This beer from Egypt, on the other hand....

This outfit is owned by Heineken, and it shows up right from the get-go. Slightly darker than average yellow, slightly fizzy, but otherwise a Heinie clone. This even has that weird overly soft and mushy mouthfeel, slightly soapy flavor, and cooked pasta aroma that you'll find in even the freshest of fresh Heineken.

4.5% ABV. And I like how the label says, "Best before: See bottle". Um, yeah, thanks for that.

Finishable, but not something I'd ever seek out, even if I were thirsty as hell in downtown Cairo.
