Taj Mahal Premium Lager
The first of three beers, in my whirlwind tour of a variety of commercially available Indian beers...
"Slow Brewed for the Connoisseur". Connoisseur of what, I have no idea!
Tastes identical to the seemingly hundreds of other beers from across the globe -- all trying to produce there own little home-grown version of BudMillerCoors. Maybe this would have some (any?) character when paired up with spicy Indian food..., maybe not. I just don't care enough to even want to think about it. Interest in this beer fades fast from the first wiff of the acidic nose, to the unimpressive body and mouthfell.
A beer I wouldn't finish even if I was sweating my ass off in Calcutta.
Addendum: Had two other Indian beers later on, and Taj Mahal ended up being the most impressive of the three...!
